What happens when an internationally known wildlife artist moves with her family to a rural mountain in the wilds of Montana?

Well, first she finds a cougar on her swing set and a bear in her backyard!  Then she writes and illustrates books sharing her thoughts and experiences.

Combining humor and introspection, the stories focus on family, hope, resilience, and a connection to wildlife and nature.  Nancy has made a career out of creating beautiful, heartfelt moments for others, and has won prestigious art and literary awards.  She is now a bestselling author.

My new book, The Art of the Wild, is now available as an Ebook and a paperback online and in stores. Read the book page for more details.

These new stories are a departure from those featuring our western life.  They focus on my early days as a wildlife artist, and my encounters with exotic and domestic wildlife early in my career.  Here is a quote from one of the chapters.

"A monkey, and a month's supply of cheese doodles, what could possibly go wrong?"
